Q: What is The SHOUT! House Mpls?

A: The SHOUT! House Mpls is a rock ‘n roll dueling piano bar. Dueling pianos are two professional piano players performing at two, face to face grand pianos in front of an awesome audience. All the while performing a wide array of the classic rock ‘n roll and a dynamic list of hits from the 1950s to the present day. The show is request-driven by the audience and performed by multiple teams of piano players along with the crowd, goes non-stop all night, along with a little banter and guest interaction. It’s the great music hits of all time combined with great showmanship, energy and comedy. And, of course with you singing along at the top of your lungs.

Q: What is the age range of the attending patrons?

A: The SHOUT! House Mpls appeals to people of all ages from 21 to 101. On any given night, you will see people celebrating a 21st Birthday alongside a 30th Anniversary and Bachelorette Parties. The show is adult oriented however, so don’t bring Grandma if she is going to be offended by a few four-letter words or not-so-subtle innuendo.

Q: What are the hours of operation and cover fees?

A: The SHOUT! House Mpls is open 4 Nights a week.

Q: Do you offer Military Discounts?

A:  YES. We offer complimentary admission charge every night we are open for Active & Retired Military and their dependents.

Q: Is The SHOUT! House Mpls a 21+ venue?

A: YES. The SHOUT! House Mpls is 21 and up. So be prepared to show your photo I.D. because we card everyone that joins the fun inside The SHOUT! House Mpls. And NO, even if you promise to supervise your 20 year old, they cannot come in. Our liquor license does not cover “Mr. Trust Me” sneaking them drinks. No exceptions!

Q: Is there a dress code?

A: We are a very casual and fun venue. Flip flops and shorts are welcome! But be advised, people pay to see the show, they don’t want to have their vision blocked by your large hat or balloons, so leave the 10-gallon cowboy hat at home. Balloons are welcome on the elevated VIP area only (you can reserve it for your party). Also, guys, and this should be a general life rule, no one wants to see your pits so leave the wife beaters and tank tops at the man cave.

Q: What are the rules for bags & backpacks?

A: Admittance of purses, bags or backpacks, etc. are subject to search. No weapons allowed.   Backpacks and Bags must be checked into coat check. Anyone resisting inspection will be refused entrance. In the cold and wet seasons, we do not allow jackets and overcoats to be hung on chairs and rails inside the club. It’s plainly a safety issue. We do provide secure coat and bag check services as part of your admission ticket charge.

Q: Does The SHOUT! House Mpls provide parking?

A: Like most downtown venues The SHOUT! House Mpls has pay as you park street parking and city ramp parking only. There are also numerous parking structures downtown, the “B” Ramp is across the street from us and other parking nearby, reasonably priced. And remember, the Minneapolis Downtown area is home to many forms of entertainment and social gatherings, so plan accordingly if there is a Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, Vikings, or Wild match/game or convention in town.

Q: When does the dueling piano show end?

A: The show goes all night, non-stop, until last call, so pace yourself! ( Wednesday & Thursday the show may end a little earlier depending on participation and support of those enjoying the performance.)

Q: Where is The SHOUT! House Mpls located?

A: The SHOUT! House Mpls is located at 110 N 5th St between 1st Ave North and 2nd Ave North next to Cowboy Jacks and very near Target Arena and Target Field. Have a look at the Google Map on the Home page to see exactly where we are.

Q: I am a single guy looking to meet some hot chicks downtown. Is The SHOUT! House Mpls a good place to pick up chicks?

Q: Does The SHOUT! House Mpls serve food?

A: Yes. We offer an entire dinner menu consisting of some great food, appetizers, burgers, salads, pizza and so much more.

Q: I am thinking about bringing in a bunch of people for a Bachelorette or Birthday party, or any Special Occasion. Do you guys offer any special package deals?

  1. Yes, we do. Feel free to go to the packages and VIP portion of the website. There you will find a breakdown of what is included in each package. All packages can be customized to fit your needs and are a lot of fun. Not to mention they guarantee you a spot in one of several ideal locations in the front of the room near the stage or in the elevated, semi private, VIP area. The SHOUT! House Mpls really is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion and live life at the top of your lungs! At least for a little while.

Q: It’s my friend’s birthday; can I bring in a cake?

A: Sorry, No outside food or beverage. This includes cake, cupcakes, & alcohol gifts.

Q: It’s my anniversary and I want to bring in a special bottle of wine for my date. Is that ok?

A: We understand that after a few laps around the sun with the same person you may want to impress them with a perfect bottle of wine to stay in their good graces… But sorry, NO outside alcohol is allowed. We do have a decent selection of wines for you to choose from for your anniversary and you can save the fancy stuff for the after/after party.

Q: I would like to have the piano players perform for my company party. How do I make that happen?

A: Our dueling piano show is available for in-house or off-site events. Please make an inquiry by giving us a call at (612) 337-6700.

Q: I’m the designated driver, do you have any incentives for me?

A: Any responsible designated driver notifying our service staff or a manager of their position will receive a complimentary pass to The SHOUT! House Mpls for their next visit. When someone else will be driving them home!

Q: The SHOUT! House Mpls is a perfect fit for me. I think I would like to work there. How do I send in my resume?

A: The SHOUT! House Mpls is always looking for new talent. If you are a piano player & singer please send your resume’ to Mr. Rotty at Info@TheSHOUTHouseMpls.com along with any other demos or promo materials you have. If warranted, Mr. Rotty will contact you to arrange for  an audition.

As for other staff positions, please E-mail us at Info@TheSHOUTHouseMpls.com . We are especially interested in staff that have some sort of musical, dance, or performing arts experience, since you will be part of the show, no matter what your position.

 

FAQ ABOUT RESERVATIONS

 

Q: How do I make reservations?

A: We take all regular seating reservations through the website for parties of 2 to 30.

  • RESERVATIONS are Highly recommended to ensure you have a seat & table.
    • Click on the RESERVATIONS button and make your reservations online.
    • A Credit Card is required to make a reservation.
    • However, your card will not be charged unless you do not email in advance at least by 1pm the day before your reservation or you do not show up for your reservation ( a no-show ) on the night  of your reservation. This no-email / no-show charge will be at a rate of $5 / reserved seat on Wednesday & Thursday, and $10 / reserved seat on Friday & Saturday. Otherwise, we do not charge your card. 

Q: What is the likelihood I will be able to get a table if I do not make reservations?

A: On Friday and Saturday it’s difficult to get a table without a reservation. If you arrive when the doors open at 5pm on Friday or Saturday night you are more likely to receive a table, but most tables are already reserved. When a reservation is a no-show, meaning 15 minutes after their reservation time or guests depart for the evening. We make the table available for standing guests on a first come first seated basis. We do fill empty table seats very quickly. There is standing room available always, but you may have to wait in a line if we are at capacity.

Q: When will my card be charged for my reservation?

A. Your card will not be charged unless you do not email in advance at least by 1pm the day before your reservation or you do not show up for your reservation ( a no-show ) on the night  of your reservation. This no-email / no-show charge will be at a rate of $5 / reserved seat on Wednesday & Thursday, and $10 / reserved seat on Friday & Saturday. Otherwise, we do not charge your card. 

Q: What if I want to add people to my reservation?

A. We do our best to accommodate everyone. If we have room you can reply to your confirmation E-mail, and we will add your friends and associates to your table(s) reservation. The earlier you E-mail and let us know, the more likely this can happen. Although, any changes need to be made at least 1 day in advance, when at all possible.

Q: Can I make reservations after 7pm?

A. You can make reservations until 8:00pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays. Saturdays the latest you can make reservations is 7:00pm. Unlike most venues downtown, The SHOUT! House Mpls is already very busy by 7pm, and since we are a live music venue, the show starts on time, and we don’t want our performers to be entertaining themselves while waiting for late guests. We take all regular reservations through the website.

Q: What if I need to cancel my reservation?

A: You can reply to your confirmation E-mail to cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. If you email less than 24 hours but before opening that evening, you may incur a $10 charge per guest on your reservation.

Q: What is your ID Policy?

√ Everyone entering The SHOUT! House Mpls must be 21.
Everyone must present an ID.
√ We accept the following IDs as proof of age:

Ø  Current State Issued Driver’s License or ID Card with photo and physical description.
Ø  Current U.S. Government issued ID cards with photo and physical description.
Ø  Current U.S. Passports
Ø  Foreign Passports. (No Foreign Drivers License or other government cards)
